Netball KL Trip - Day 4

The girls have safely reached Singapore and was dismissed from school at about 8pm on 31May2012.

They checked out of the hotel at about 8.45am on Thursday to head back to Singapore. On the way back, they dropped by Melacca for an educational heritage tour.










After the tour, the girls went to Dataran Pahlawan for lunch and head back to Singapore after an enriching 4D3N Training Trip in Kuala Lumpur.

The Springfield Secondary Netball Team would like to thank the school for giving us this opportunity to train overseas, as well as meet netballers from the International Schools in Kuala Lumpur.

Our greatest thanks to the following people who have helped made this trip a successful one:
1) Mrs Ng and Mr Siva for their constant reminders and advices before and throughout our trip.
2) Mr Wong Ting Hsin and Mr James Wong for coming down to KL to look after the team as well as providing support whenever needed.
3) Mdm Yasmine for her help in the administrative processes.
4) All Springfield Secondary teachers who have allowed the girls to be excused from their classes during our trip.
5) The school guards for waiting for us to reach school on the last day of our trip.
6) The netball girls' parents for giving consent and providing them with support during the trip.
7) Anyone else who we have left out but has helped in one way or another to make this trip possible.

The girls will continue with their training sessions this June holiday and the dates are: 4June, 7June, 14June and 21June 2012 from 0800-1100.

Netball Training Trip to KL - Day 3

After breakfast in the hotel, the girls set off to CILC for friendly matches with 3 internation schools in Day 3. The schools are Tenby International School, Cempaka International Ladies College and Australian International School.








After the matches, they head off to Warisan Restaurant for lunch. It is located at Dataran Merdeka where most of the buildings are historical landmark. After lunch, we visited KL Gallery, National Museum and Istana Negara.








After the educational tour, we went to Chinatown and Central Market. The girls had their dinner at Central Market before going back to the hotel.



They had their debrief and went back to their own rooms at about 9.30pm.


We will be setting off for Melacca on the way to Singapore at 8.45am on Thursday (Day 3).

Netball Training Trip to KL - Day 2

The main highlight of Day 2 is the friendly matches and training in CILC.

The girls set off for CILC at 7.30am and reached at 8.50am. They warmed up and the C girls started the friendly match first, followed by the B girls. Both divisions won the friendly matches.

After the friendly matches, the girls had their lunch at the college's cafe.


The girls also trained with the students in CILC and ended today's session with a short interaction with some of the netballers there.


At about 5.30pm, the girls made a move to Jaya33 for dinner at MJ Cafe. Back at the hotel, they had a short briefing about tomorrow's itinerary before proceeding to their own rooms to shower and rest.

Netball Training Trip to KL - Day 1


The girls set off from school to Malaysia via Tuas Checkpoint at 6.45am.

Upon reaching JB, they stopped at Macap R&R for breakfast. After breakfast, they set off for a 2-hour journey before stopping at Seremban for lunch.

They then proceeded to Cempaka International Ladies College (CILC) and reached the boarding school at 3pm.


They had a tour around the school and managed to check out some of the facilities within the school premises.













The girls also got to try out the outdoor netball court.



After an enriching tour in CILC, the girls set off for dinner at Hertz Chicken Restaurant at Sunway Pyramid Mall.



After dinner, they made their way to the hotel and checked in. Before going to their own rooms to shower and have lights out, they had a debrief session for the day.


Day 2 wake up call will be at 5.30am and 5.45am. The girls are expected to have their breakfast at 6.30am and leave for CILC at 7.30am for friendly matches 1 and 2.
